No, UHF directive (directional) antennas are primarily developed in the longitudinal (horizontal) direction, such as Lambda, Yagi, etc. The more elements there are, the narrower the main lobe (forward) becomes, the opening angle (@-3 dB) closing more.

Antennas with a stepped (vertical) development are naturally less directive since the main lobe is more open (attenuated), as is the case with so-called panel antennas!

For example, triplate antennas are considered the most directional, with some models also equipped with a preamp or an anti-LTE 4G filter...

It's exactly this type of antenna that I proposed in my first response... ;)

Definitely not a panel antenna in this case; one should not swallow everything that's offered in the market and repeated or echoed without discernment...

Read specialized literature (e.g., Dunod, ETSF...) on TV antenna technology and their use according to the configuration...

For your information, all specialists know that sector-type panel antennas are used in UHF telephony because their opening angle is wide; 3 are enough to cover 360°!!

I bought a 40 dB FLAGTV SEDEA amplified outdoor antenna from LEROY MERLIN (56) QUEVEN. After easy installation, I scanned the channels. Later, some of the scanned channels were no longer visible. SEDEA has been informed by email (2), but there has been no response. If no improvement is noticed, I will call SEDEA and LEROY MERLIN on Monday 24/08/2015 to return the equipment, which is not 100% reliable.
