Question

Hello everyone so, one of the websites I visit quite often (it's a cooking site, nothing serious ;) ) won't open anymore and this message appears: "Forbidden Error 403: You don't have permission to access on this server" . what exactly is this? how can I recover my site? the problem occurs on both my browsers (Firefox and Chrome) thank you very much

re  You do not (or no longer) have permission to access this server...  They have changed the rules... You are not registered... Your password has been entered incorrectly more than three times... Someone else has used your name... they noticed and blacklisted you.

It's a free site where there are no registrations (at least presumably), except perhaps for those who post or comment.

re,  Yes, but this is a problem that isn’t related to your PC, it’s specific to your site...  How do you expect us to guess the reasons and give you an answer... Huh.?  You don’t even give the name of your site... so we don’t even know if you need to be registered or not..??  The best thing is to send them an email and ask why you are banned..??

Indeed, you can browse the recipes without any problem, I have no difficulty..  But for other topics, you need to be registered and have a password...  So... which category do you belong to..??  There must be something... that is blocking you... an antivirus... an ad blocker... who knows..?  But this message is sent to you through the Foodies site in question.... ???

I visit the site occasionally, I am not registered and I don't even comment, I am subscribed to the newsletter that is sent to me once a week, I have not exhibited any behavior that would warrant a ban. I haven't changed my antivirus nor used any ad blockers other than Adblock, which I've been using for a long time. It leaves me perplexed. When I click on the link to the site, a new tab opens, the title of the tab is: 403 Forbidden and inside there is a blank page with the word "forbidden" in bold and below it the sentence: You don't have permission to access / on this server. There you go.

Well, he doesn't want you...???  What did you do to him...? Or what didn't you do for him..?  I think it's your IP that's being flagged... But you could try clearing your internet cache, both FireFox and Chrome... and attempt a new connection.  Do you have the same problem on another PC..?  What version of Windows are you using..?

Hi,  The error means that you don't have access to the content. The restriction could be at the server level (like they blocked a resource)  or at the client level, on your end, for example, your antivirus blocking the page, or in the case of a business, the proxy blocking access to that site based on predefined rules.  You should provide the link to the page in question.
