Connection issue with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3

Hello,

I just acquired a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and I’ve been trying in vain to connect to the wifi since yesterday morning. After entering the 26-character key from my Orange livebox correctly, I get the following messages:
either: "an authentication error has occurred,"
or: "secure (WPS available)"
And the little wifi icon just won’t get rid of that darn lock!!!
I should add that I had a problem this morning with my old livebox, it died on me and the same issue is happening with the new one. The laptop that worked with the "old" one also won’t connect to the new one, just like the tablet.
I’d like to clarify that I’m on Vista, in case that matters for understanding this problem.

If someone wanted or could find a solution to my problem, I would be thrilled, and if, additionally, one could explain it to me as if I were someone who doesn’t understand all the subtleties of computers, that would be ideal. Thank you for considering my case.

I wanted to specify that before asking my question, I searched to see if it had already been asked, but I didn’t find anything exactly identical.

Hello,

I just made a new attempt and... it works!!!
Actually, I had read on some site a piece of advice that said to enter the box code using lowercase letters, and I tried using uppercase.
That's the whole nuance!!! So you need to enter the characters without spaces but by respecting the uppercase letters, and it’s all good.
Thanks to the people who replied to me.
I don’t know where to click to report that the problem is resolved.
