Old lullaby

Hello

First of all, I would like to apologize to the internet users and the site for having posted a message without a courteous formula, and I thank them for reminding me of the rules.
I am therefore looking for a very old lullaby; I don't know the exact title, but I know the lyrics.
Listen to the sad story of a beautiful white lamb
Who did not want to believe his dear mother
A little flighty lamb who was not always wise
Oh oh oh, the lovely little lamb
I would love to find this lullaby, but I don't know the name of the one who sang it.
I thank in advance all those who can help me in this search.

Good evening everyone

Here are the lyrics of the lullaby:

Listen to the sad story of a beautiful white lamb
Who did not want to believe his loving mother
A little fickle lamb who was not always wise,
Oh, oh, oh, the pretty little lamb (2 times)
His loving mother Blanchette often said to him,
My child, the wolf is watching you, so be obedient
Stay in the sheepfold, close to your dear mother
Oh, oh, oh, my tender little lamb (2 times)
He wanders up the hill along the bushes
He catches on every thorn, his lovely fleece
He goes into the vast woods where the wolf lurks silently,
Oh, oh, oh, the reckless little lamb (2 times)
In the morning, his grieving mother searches for the white lamb,
She sees strands of wool, a bloody bush,
The wolf ate him without drinking
Over there in the black forest,
Oh, oh, oh, the poor little lamb (2 times)
May this cruel story serve as a lesson,
To the rebellious girl, to the little boy,
Who does not listen to his mother will be punished on this earth,
Oh, oh, oh, like the little lamb (2 times)

But I could not find out who it was by.

Hello
thank you for reminding me of the lyrics to that lullaby.
It's a song my mom used to sing to me when I was a child.
I found one called Jimbo the Elephant by Colette Mars that I downloaded.
But for the little lamb, I also can't figure out who sang that lullaby.
There must be an artist who sang it, though.
But, well, it’s not from yesterday.
If you learn anything, I would appreciate it if you could let me know.
I’ll do the same on my end.
Thanks again.

When we can please...
Do you know approximately when it dates from?
It might help me in my research.
Thank you.

Hello

I am very happy to see that someone is interested in these old songs, it is really nice.
I don't know the exact date, but I am going to turn 66, and my mom used to sing these songs to me when I was a child, so they must be from around the 1940s.
Have a great day and thank you again.

I also found it on the forum
Unfortunately, despite my searches, I couldn't find out who the artist was. Perhaps one day I will find out

My 93-year-old grandmother would be very happy to listen to it again... Does anyone have a link where this song is sung? ... thank you in advance

For me, it was my grandmother who sang this lullaby to me. What good memories.
