Hello,
I just bought from Audible.fr and downloaded an audiobook in .aa and .aax format, with DRM of course.
I want to listen to it in the car with an FM transmitter and USB stick, and since it lasts more than 6 hours, I need to split it into smaller tracks/chapters (every time I restart, the playback starts over at the beginning of the track!)
I followed the instructions given by Audible, which recommends using iTunes to burn this track to CD. The result should normally be a number of CDs (about 9) containing the chapter segmentation of this .aa or .aax file.
But here's the thing, it doesn't work.
When iTunes is kind enough to actually start the burning process (which doesn't happen every time!), here's what happens:
- burning the first CD
- message asking to insert a second blank CD, which I do
- but it loops on ejecting the second CD and the message "insert a blank CD"
- the first burned CD is playable but contains not a chapter split of the audiobook, but 10 tracks of equal length of 8 minutes.
Do you have any idea what's going on? Is it a bug in iTunes, Mavericks, the burner, or Audible? Possibly a solution to workaround this issue? Thank you in advance
Configuration: Mac OS X (10.9) / Firefox 27.0 / iTunes 11.1.5 / external burner LaCie
