Samsung HW-F450 soundbar not working with my TV

Hello,
I'm desperately trying to get a Samsung HW-F450 soundbar to work with my 3D television of the same brand, series 7000. I believe I followed the installation manual, which says to use the HDMI (ARC) port on the TV with a certified 1.4 cable; but to my great dismay, there's not a sound coming out.
I consulted another forum and saw that I wasn't the only one having this kind of problem, but I still couldn't find the solution.
If anyone has any ideas to solve my issue, I would be very happy, thank you in advance!

I was in the same situation as some others.
My soundbar (Samsung soundbar hw h450) worked perfectly with sound-connect (via Bluetooth) with my Samsung TV UE46F6500. Unfortunately, when I connected everything via HDMI... it didn't work. (yet there is an HDMI ARC port on my TV. Moreover, it is often indicated if the TV is compatible. The "arc" inscription in parentheses next to "HDMI in" near the port on the back of the TV.

After searching a lot, the solution is very simple. The explanations in the user manual are not very clear.

It is important to understand that HDMI carries both sound AND images. Therefore, the connection follows.

Starting from the TV decoder (or TV Box): HDMI cable (which was connected between the decoder and TV) to be connected between the decoder and the "HDMI IN" port of the soundbar and not on the TV.
Then the second HDMI cable: from the "HDMI out tv" port of the soundbar to the "HDMI arc" port of the TV.
This means that the image and sound pass through the soundbar before going to the TV.

TV Decoder -> HDMI cable -> Soundbar -> HDMI cable -> TV
Then remember to select the correct HDMI port on the TV using its remote control (source button). (in my case HDMI 2 on my TV)
Also select HDMI on the soundbar with its remote control (source button) and there you go......enjoy.

Personally, I don't have a TV decoder, and I also don't have a "arc" subscription.
      What should I do?
