Photos and images are no longer displaying on my Facebook account. Solved

Question

Hello,  Since yesterday afternoon, on my Facebook account, all the photos and images are no longer displaying. This includes the profile picture icons of my friends and advertisement photos. Only a few game icon pictures are showing up. The same goes for my son's accounts. Can someone please help me? Thank you for your reply.

Check if this corresponds to your situation:  Clear your browser cache with ccleaner or from Facebook settings.  Try disabling your browser extensions, especially if you have an AdBlocker.  Try changing your DNS: Open DNS or Google DNS.  Optionally, reduce the page size by pressing Ctrl / + (or using the mouse wheel).  If after checking all these points you still have the problem, then it is likely due to Facebook's servers themselves. In the Start menu where you shut down the PC, there is a search bar. From there, you type "update", then at the top of the list, you will see "Windows Update" and you click on it. A window opens and you click on Important updates on the left, check all the boxes, go back, and then check Secondary updates and do the same, check all the boxes and click on Install updates. Try that and let us know! ;)

Hello, I went to the start menu, typed "update" in the search bar. I found Windows Update. I clicked on it. In the window that opened, there is no "important update" on the left. I have: Home, Options, View update history, "Restore hidden updates: grayed out", Change settings, FAQ, Help and support, and Use options for administrator. All of this is on the left, and in the middle of the window, I am given the choice to perform a quick or custom update... I tried both: For the updates I am trying to perform, I get a message: "The date and time of the computer seem to be out of sync with one of the update certificates. To fix the issue: Control Panel then Check that the date and time are correct"... My PC has the same time as my TV and my kitchen... How could I resolve this issue, which is blocking the update process please?? Another "small" problem has been added to my situation since yesterday... Good evening,  Thank you for your response. I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser and sometimes I use Google as a search engine. In another session on my computer, Google Chrome is installed. I tried to log into Facebook, and it does the same thing. Before coming to "comment ça marche.net," I had seen on a forum "that I had to" go to "Tools" in the browser's menu bar and choose Options. That's what I did. I went to the "Advanced" tab and then to the "Network" tab, in the "Cached Web Content" section, I clicked on "Clear Now." (Before doing this, I had noted the available disk space in MB to which the cache is limited. (For me, it is limited to 349 MB). So, I tried that, = No change, so I went back to the options and restored the previous limitation. On Facebook, at the very beginning of my issue, I had "managed" to get a few images to come back by clicking on "Show All" right next to "Sponsored" in the right column. But they immediately disappeared again. And then it resulted in the blank page and what I showed you in my last message. I don't know if it's important to mention this, but I learned that the problem started when my son was in an instant messaging conversation. Thank you very much for the help you are giving me.

Hello, first of all, you're welcome; if I can help you, that's great ;) . Here’s what you're going to do. Go to the control panel => programs => Java. Go to the update tab and run it manually (there's a "button" at the bottom of the tab), restart your PC, and try again.

Hello neo-genesis. I went on vacation... When I returned from vacation, I wanted to go online. And at every site I tried to visit, whether it was to check my emails, the yellow pages, or any other sites, I was told that I couldn't access these sites because they were not secure... or that if I was in the habit of opening these sites, I should no longer open them, otherwise I'd risk having my login account hacked.... I looked at the technical details of this message. And I realized that the date was set to November 2013 and it basically told me something like: I couldn't connect because the update date had been exceeded... I just changed that "famous" date and since then, I can go back online and guess what else???? On Facebook without any problem. I admit I don't understand much, but I'm glad to have regained the use of all that. However, I don't know if there's a connection, but upon my first reconnection to Facebook, there was a person I don't know in my friends list. A certain Nathalie Toussaint... So I don't know if this person was the cause of my issues, but in any case, I didn't bother to understand, I removed her from my account and blocked her. By the way, I don't know how she ended up in my friends list since she would have had to send me a request and I would have had to accept it... Again, a big thank you for your support and help.
