My Samsung CLX 3305w printer displays "fill/install Res.toner exc." even though I changed the cartridges last week. And it said "toner" but not Res or exc. What does this mean? And what should I do?
Thank you in advance for your response.

Hello mirabelle5, visitors, and participants.
There is a used TONER collector on your printer. This message is for him. He needs to be changed because he is full.
On this page https://www.kittoner.fr/#.UdxvEG3kuSo there are some explanations.
This used toner collector is a consumable like the others. Just like toner cartridges, the drum ...
Please note that I never said to buy anything.
And that the page I am sending you to is only for information and illustration purposes. And especially because they explain things without being boring.
It's up to you now.
Best regards.

Hello,
My black laser cartridge was empty, so I replaced it. I took the opportunity to clean this little tray.
And now, the printer is asking me to change the cyan, magenta, and yellow laser cartridges, even though I use them very little and it's impossible for them to be empty.
Do you have a solution to get my printer to accept them again?

The post is a bit late, but it just saved my life ;-)
A little clean-up and we're back at it!!!!
Thanks everyone

When I saw the full bin that I would have to buy, I had already taken mine apart... I emptied it (black dust like soot) and reassembled it without success. A good rinse under the tap and a thorough wipe, everything works like before. It's perfect!
It's a pity that this process wasn't noted more precisely, instead of "I never said to buy," but the main thing is to participate!
Thank you and see you soon because I don't really like this printer...
Hello,
The problem is resolved, that's the main thing.
If I didn't go into enough detail, it's mostly because I wasn't sure if the cleaning would be sufficient. In principle, these tanks have chips (at least with SAMSUNG), so if we don’t reset them, it doesn’t change anything....
In principle...
But it seems like the cleaning is enough this time. What about the chip on the used toner collection tank? Is there one for this model? It seems that there isn't, which surprises me.
And finally, I know you did everything you could. But at least acknowledge that I pointed you in the right direction, right?
Best regards to all, contributors and visitors.
Not a trace of a chip on the toner reservoir or... it’s plastic!! It's precisely because I only saw plastic that I dared to plunge everything into the water. I will do the same operation next time and will keep you informed.
Do you also have a trick up your sleeve for changing the toners? The machine requests their change even though they don't show as empty. Maybe yet another chip? How to bypass it?
Thanks in advance.
As far as I know, there are resetters for SAMSUNG toner chips, but they cost an arm and a leg, and on top of that, you have to make sure you don't get the reference wrong when ordering!!!
Otherwise, there is the solution of refilling the cartridge and changing the chip with kits sold by kittoner and many others.
Best regards.
I wonder how many people get fooled like me before they understand that it's just a small tank to empty and wash.
I did the same, I just washed that tank (watch out for the dust cloud) and it works perfectly fine again.
Customer service informed me that this tank needs to be changed every 7,000 to 8,000 copies. Personally, I'm below 1,000 copies and they already tell me to change it... For me, I'm not very satisfied with this printer, I thought it would be much more economical than my inkjet, but I'm not gaining much.
