Hello!

I'm looking to highlight a chapter title by underlining the entire line on which it sits (I tried hitting return and typing 5 lines of the underscore key (_____), but with this method, the line doesn't take on the color of my title's style, and I want them to be the same color).

It seems that this should be one of the most basic features of word processing in Word... I've done some research, but the few answers I found corresponded to much older versions of Word. I can't seem to figure out how to do this with my Mac 2011 version.

I'm not sure if my description of what I'm trying to achieve is clear enough, but the kind of underline I'm looking to create is commonly used in CV templates, like on this one for sections such as "professional experience" and "education":

It's good, I found it:
In the window that opens when you click on "border," just choose the style of "line" (they probably have another name) that you want, then use the buttons on the left to decide where to place your line, and then click "OK" to apply them!

I didn't quite understand your reasoning.
But all you need to do in "Border" is choose "Bottom Border." That's it:
The entire line is underlined. No buttons, no graphics, no click to apply...

Oh? At my place, the window that opened didn't have a "bottom border" mention. But we might not have the same version.
What I tried to explain is the process I followed on the Mac version of Word 2011.
