Hello,

I am looking to set up a "PlayStation home cinema".

For the internal hard drive, I want to install 1 TB.
But it "seems" that this causes slowdowns and bugs.
Is that true?
If so, does it also cause issues for multimedia (Play TV, HD movies, photos, etc.) in addition to impacting video games?

Are there advantages to choosing one HDD over another?

I would also like to connect an external HDD of 3 TB. No problem?

Are there advantages to choosing one external HDD over another?

Also, do you know if the PS3 ultra slim ("super slim") is more "fragile"?

Finally, last question, can you add an SSD to a PS3? What would it improve?

Thank you very much for clarifying (and thus helping) me ;-)

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 18.0

Those who replied to you here have probably never opened the manual provided with their console.
To be clear:
- PS3 Fat: limited to 500GB. It cannot support more than that.
- PS3 Slim: limited to 750GB.
- PS3 Ultra Slim: supports up to 1TB without any problem.

I have a PS3 Fat and I put a 750 GB internal hard drive in it and I have NO problems at all.

Bunch of losers 2TB max fat = 2TB max it's designed for two terabytes since the updates have made it grow!
