PC boot failure issue Solved

Question

Hello,

I have a Toshiba computer running Windows 8. One day, while I was online, a message appeared saying that my computer had encountered a problem and needed to restart. It did restart, but after rebooting, a new message appeared in a blue box:

Boot failure: a proper digital signature was not found. One of the files on the selected boot device was rejected by the Secure Boot feature

This message appears at startup, and I can't access the desktop.

I don't know much about computers, so if someone could help me that would be great. At least to know if it's serious or not, if it's worth sending it back for repair or if a technician can fix my problem.

try starting in safe mode
at startup, press the function key "F8" (or "F5")
and choose safe mode with networking
and select your usual account

Do you have the W8 system CD?
Or a W7 system?
You can perform the following steps:
Insert the CD and manage to boot from it.
Click on it, repair, and you go to the command prompt.
Try typing the following command bootrec /fixmbr and hit enter.
Restart the machine.
I know how to access the command prompt from the CD.

No, I don't have any CDs for the Windows 8 or Windows 7 system. I got it for Christmas; it's a recent model.

I went into the BIOS, then Security and set Secure Boot to <disabled>. I then refreshed my PC but it didn't work. So I restored everything to the original settings.

Hello. You need to press F1, DEL, or F2 to access your BIOS, and since you have a new computer, it's probably UEFI instead of BIOS to disable Secure Boot. Please disable Secure Boot. Thank you.

And probably if you have a brand new computer with UEFI, you will later have problems installing your Windows 7 from a DVD; you will need to put your Windows 7 ISO (DVD) onto a USB flash drive formatted in FAT 32.

Good evening,

I have the same problem, my Toshiba screen turns on and then immediately shows this message on a blue square...
I tried disabling secure boot but instead of the blue square it shows media failure..
