Hello,
I have a TOSHIBA LCD REGZA 47Z3030 TV that dates back to 01/2008.
Warranty expired in 01/2012.
For over a week now, when I turn on the TV when it's cold, I have a dark image on the screen, the colors are very muted across the entire screen.
Additionally, on the right side, it seems that the image is frozen from top to bottom over a width of about 10 cm. And if I change the channel, it retains the previous image slightly on that left side.
Once the TV gets warm (5 to 10 minutes), the image displays correctly, and the colors are normal. Once the issue disappears, if I turn it off and back on when warm, there are no issues, the image is fine.
Can you tell me if it is repairable or not, and the approximate cost?
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Linux / Firefox 17.0

Hello Fabuleux73,
I have exactly the same problem with my television purchased in 2008 as well, have you found a solution? I'm thinking about the possibility of the backlight tubes being faulty.
If you have any leads for me, I would be thrilled!-
Hi,
I haven't tried the repair yet, but I'm looking for ways to do it myself because having to let the TV heat up for at least 20 minutes to get a decent picture is starting to annoy me.
You can contact me by email, as I stumbled upon my message here by chance!
Fabuleux73@yahoo.fr and please put "Toshiba" in the subject line so I know not to send the email to spam.
Best regards.
