Laptop making random bubbling noises

Hello,
For the past few days, my laptop has been intermittently making sounds that resemble popping bubbles. I have searched online, and while some people have had the same issue as me, I haven't found any answers that seem to fit my situation.
The noise is coming from the speakers because it disappears when I mute the sound. The sound mainly occurs when I type on my keyboard; the more I write, the louder it seems to get.
I've already checked the Windows sound settings (the noise stops when I mute the sound), but the sound effects are disabled. I've looked to see if there's been a recently installed software, but I don't think so (I recently installed Skype). I'm a bit out of ideas!
This noise is starting to become a bit annoying over time...

I think I had a similar problem a long time ago on Windows XP.
In the search windows under Windows Explorer, there is a little character that appears to help us wait when the search is long...
In my case, there was a little dog that scratched itself from time to time, and I heard a faint scratching noise.
The problem is that I sometimes heard it even when I wasn't running a file search.
And it seems to me that you can change the character and choose a fish! The noise you're hearing probably comes from it.
You just need to start a search (Win+F keys) and disable the character in one of the menus (I don't remember exactly where, I haven't used Win XP for a long time).

First of all, thank you to 65bits for taking the time to respond to me.
After racking my brain for 2 hours yesterday and a good part of this morning, I finally found where the problem was coming from. My PC is equipped with a fingerprint reader, and as soon as I pass my hand over it, located under the keyboard, a slight contact is enough to activate it. But no icon appears, only the one in the taskbar lights up very faintly... Hence the difficulty in understanding where the problem comes from, especially since I don't use this feature.
I feel that the problems causing the "bubble sounds" can be very diverse, given that this sound is a Windows sound effect used by different programs! This explanation is therefore one of the valid explanations if this happens to you, but it could very well be something else as 65bits explained.
