Hello,

I accidentally deleted the audio driver for the high definition audio bus (location 65535).
I have a Compaq CQ 2200 FR with Windows XP

Since I'm not a tech expert, I'm reaching out to see if it's possible to download this driver for free (where and how?) because I don’t have a specific CD for this installation and I really don’t want to reset my computer by reinstalling everything!!!

Can you please help me?

Thank you in advance for your kindness.
Best regards,
Nicou51

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

    Hello

Maybe a little about this site

Accept the installation of the necessary plugin for automatic detection
Choose XP as your operating system
    Uncheck the beta drivers
Make a restore point before installing the driver
Choose carefully based on your sound card
    And that's it

Yes, I was actually going to thank you, lilidurhone, but you didn't give me the time to do so.

I first saw toadangel's response and followed their instructions, and it worked!

Since I'm not used to forums, I was looking for a way to reply to you! ... Well, that's done, and if I hadn't managed to help myself, I would have tried your solution.

Thanks again for taking the time to read my question and respond.

      Best regards,
      Nicou51

You're welcome, Nicou. Indeed, Toad responded at the same time.
The site I suggested to you is very useful.

Hello Lilidurhone, the sound on my HP desktop (Windows XP Service Pack 2) has disappeared, I installed the driver but during the installation a window appeared saying: “Your system does not meet the requirements for this update. The update has been canceled (9996).”
      Please help me. Thank you.

Same here, but when I tried to reinstall, they told me that the hardware could not be installed because it couldn't find the necessary software!! I really hope you find the solution to my question!!!
      Thank you in advance.
