Epson Stylus SX445W, Wi-Fi mal configuré ou non installé Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

I bought and installed my Epson Stylus SX445W printer last month without any problems.

I am very happy with it... however, it seems to me that there is an issue.

The printer is supposed to work over Wi-Fi (light on).

I set it up from a desktop PC and it is recognized by my router.

The problem is as follows: I cannot print from the laptops if the desktop PC is not turned on and logged into a session.

This confirms that my printer is connected via the network and not via Wi-Fi, right?

Yet, when I check the configuration on the printer's digital screen, everything seems fine.

What do you think?

I have been trying for 2 hours to connect my laptop to my EPSON Stylus SX445W printer, but every time it says:
The printer's IP address conflicts with that of another device.
Please enter the correct IP address.
I tried manually but nothing works, can you please help me? :D

Thank you for your response. Indeed, if the printer is connected via USB to the desktop PC, it is normal that it only works when the PC is turned on.

What is needed for it to work via Wi-Fi and on any PC in the house is to connect it via USB, but to your router, and depending on your provider and modem, you also need to enable printer sharing.

Since your provider is SFR, you will need to adjust a few settings. I will check the information on the SFR website. Let me know if you can already test the printer connection directly on your router?

I can confirm that it is feasible with the Neufbox. Now we just need to see if your printer will be automatically recognized by the box.

Thank you, Lacide.  Everything worked perfectly.  The printer is on wifi and no longer requires the desktop PC to print.  Nicely done!!!  Thank you very much for your help.
