Oh yes, you’re right too!!
Wow, what a mysterious ending, it leaves a lot of ambiguity.
I hope there will be a sequel.
Thank you for your participation ;)

Yes, sad look I may have gotten a bit carried away, I completely agree it's probably more a look expressing discomfort, a lack of understanding... but that doesn't change my perception of the film and the ending at all.
However, yes, it's clear: there won't be a sequel! And any sequel would be useless.

Yes, that's true, but as you said, the frustration is there; no one will ever interpret the same ending, really a shame ^^
Possible too, but I think we will always have a mixed opinion on this, as a member pointed out, it leaves ambiguity, and especially this great ending that leaves us with this question, you see.
I thought the same thing as you; in any case, he won't be happy, because either there will have been an accident, or he will see his double with his family.
But as you say so well, it remains an ending to be interpreted by each of us.

I just saw the movie.
I was thinking about John1 with John2 and his whole family: complicated
On the other hand, John2 may have come to Earth
Anyway, long live our imagination!

It also makes sense, but the Johns love their family, because at the moment of the accident, everything changed, and we know that he loves his family.
In the case of the first theory, how would it go for John 1 once he is on Earth 2? Because he would certainly be back with his wife and son (+ daughter), but there would also be John 2, right?
Yeah, there you go, he would meet his double, or his double would have gone to Earth 1, well there are thousands of possible endings ^^
Not bad this ending, I hadn't thought about it much!
Well, regarding the idea of killing the other, I find that a bit extreme lol.

Good evening, you have a very good idea too, I'm on board!
I should watch it again, it might give me an idea.
Thank you for your perspective!
And have a good evening.

Well done, Anito... hats off!
Your analysis completely blew me away and yet I had thought a lot about it!
I have no more questions and I also embrace this reasoning.
A big thank you to you for this contribution, which definitely makes this film, which was already beautiful, even more so!

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if the movie is currently showing in the Paris region? I haven't found a theater screening it. I’m afraid I might have to wait for its DVD release, if that hasn't happened yet.
Best regards

Thank you Tkof, but in my opinion, you're pushing the subject a bit far; it actually sounds like my French teacher ^^
But everything makes sense.
But everything makes sense.
@Romaster: I'm not a French teacher, just a developer (app designer), so imagining combinations is a professional deformation ;-p
We can imagine "a happy end," like "a somewhat less happy ending," but no matter the ending, it doesn't change the message "the choices / the way one looks at oneself" (well, that's my interpretation), it's up to everyone to see what they want ^^

Hi movie lovers! In my case, I would think more of an ending where John goes to Earth 2 and sends Rhoda’s double to show Rhoda that everything is fine and that it is indeed a mirror planet... So he has found his wife and child. That's the end of the story.
Then comes the imagination, as well as the percentage of the brain never used!
