Hello,

I have a G200 Neo radar detector.

I came here to download the software (Blue/Purple = V2):

http://www.wikango.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=60:support-g200neo&catid=8:support-produit&Itemid=85

I installed it, opened it, then a small window pops up saying "software update".... everything is going well... I connect it properly: [USB: OK]...

and when I want to do my update, it says:
"Error: Database download failed..."

What should I do? Where does the problem come from?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I am in the same situation. I think that given the price, we fell for it because I can't update this device. Is it a scam???? If this continues, I will contact the seller because he sold me this device claiming that updates were free online.

ah well, my issue isn't with the database but with the voice update, which seems to be up to date (step 2/3)... so if anyone has a solution, I’m all ears!!!

Try downloading the software from the correct site (alertegps), then choose the right version between blue label or black label, and make sure to select the one that corresponds to your operating system (XP or Vista, as they are not the same program). For me, I've had no issues for 2 years with the updates.

I bought my Neo 200 on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 3 PM. I downloaded it without any problems. At 5:30 PM, I went to test it and everything worked perfectly: fixed radars and mobile zones.

Did you disconnect your antivirus for a moment before doing the operation????
