In fact, I (perhaps others too) didn't quite understand your question: are you simply asking how to transfer photos from a PC to a laptop? Is that right? If not, please clarify your request. Another thing: on Windows NT, are you the system administrator or do you work for a company that has "restricted your rights" on your computers?

Well, I wasn't clear... I have a personal computer... a personal PC and I have no restrictions on its use. I do have a USB cable... is it the right one?? The one that connects the PC to the printer? Can I plug it between my two computers to transfer my photos, and how do I do that if I can?
I can only access the internet with my desktop PC. Thank you for your understanding in clarifying this for me! -
Hello
The USB cable has nothing to do with your problem.
Let me recap your setup: you have a desktop computer (where your photos are stored) and a laptop.
And you want to transfer the photos to your laptop.
Is that correct?
In that case, you need to use a network cable (crossed cable) that you connect between the network cards of your two computers.

yeah.. that's true.. you're not giving enough details about your problem..
Tip:
if you have an external hard drive, use it to transfer your photos, otherwise you can do it if you don't have too many by emailing them or using a USB stick. If you have a USB cable, just do a transfer.. or if you have Bluetooth or infrared, use that.
bye bye
