Hello, I would like to buy jeans on a website but I don't understand the sizes; they are marked like this: 31X34; 32X32; 32X34
etc... Thank you in advance.

Jeans sizes correspond to leg length and waist size if I'm not mistaken...
Here's what I found on the internet 

US - France - Flat size in cm - Waist size in cm 
24 ... 32/34..............34/35............. 68/70 
25 ... 34/35..............35/36..............70/72 
26 ... 35/36..............37/38..............74/76
27 ... 36/37..............38/39..............76/78 
28 ... 37/38 .............40/41..............80/82 
29 ... 38/39..............42................... 84 
30 ... 39/40 
31 ... 40/41 
32 ... 41/42 


US length - Total length in cm - Inseam 
 L 30 ..............100/102.............78/80 
  L 32..............104/106..............82/84  
 L 34..............108/112..............86/88


Example: if you are slim with long legs, let's say you wear 36 but have long legs, you'll choose a 26x32 (the first number is the waist size, the second is the length)

So you need to choose based on your leg length and waist size. It's handy if you're curvy with short legs or slim with long legs ^^
