It depends on many parameters. If we take an average of 5MB per song (which is about a 3-minute song), theoretically you could fit 800 songs. In practice, it would be less because you won't have a full 4GB available. But that gives you a good idea. That would amount to 800 * 3 = 2400 minutes of music. For video, if you store uncompressed DivX files, that would be about 5 movies, so roughly 7 hours of films.

Yes, it's divX size. You can also set them to HDReady (720p), they only take up 1.5GB, so you can fit 2 of them. But there's no point on an MP4 player. However, you can compress your videos by re-encoding them so that they take up less space (thus with a lower resolution) for a small screen player.
