Hello,

I've connected my computer to the TV but I only see the wallpaper, without the desktop icons, the taskbar or anything else, even when I play a movie either from the computer or the internet on the TV, I still only see the wallpaper while I can see the movie at the same time on the computer. I don't understand how to make the movie appear on the TV as well. Thank you in advance.

    Your PC is set up in desktop extension. Basically, if you drag the movie window to the right out of the PC screen, your movie will go to the TV screen.

    Right-click on the desktop, properties, display, and you choose screen mirroring or something like that ^^

    Some PCs use the Windows + P key combination.

      manipulation to disable the second screen in extended desktop:
      right-click on the desktop > properties > settings tab > click on screen 2, grayed out if it isn't displaying anything for now....
      uncheck "extend the Windows desktop to this monitor" and there you go!!! Finish!!

      WELL NO I DON'T UNDERSTAND I HAVE a laptop that is not even a year old, my friend plugs his into the TV and it works right away but for me, we can only see the background on the TV and the icons don’t even appear.

      Hi

      It's not rocket science, either you go into the display settings and set your 2 screens to clone mode, they will show the same thing, or you leave it as it is (Extended Desktop) and you drag the window of your video player to the left or right and it will appear on your TV.

      If you see the background, it means the display is working on both screens.

      ^^ Hello Scarface72 XD

      @matttt
      Your friend probably set this setting by default but your PC is not the case. It's just a settings issue that's all, nothing to do with a 2-year-old PC or the latest model ^^
