I can't do it, even with alt 11 and 12.
What is it about (obviously copied and pasted).

    Generally speaking, with Mac OS X, the best way to find unusual characters is the "Character Palette" (which you can access from the "Input" menu - the small flag at the top right). I'm surprised that Mac help doesn't mention it...

    That said, it may depend on the version of Word in question since support for Unicode fonts is recent there, and the best solution with older versions is to go through the "Insert" menu > "Special Characters..." (I think that's what Sanspseudo meant above).

    If all this hasn't helped you find the answers you need, please provide some details. In particular, the versions of Word and Mac OS X in question...
