LG M198W TV Hotel Mode Lock Solved

Hello,

My son has locked his LG M198 W television (no sound and no possibility with the remote control), and of course, he lost the manual. Can someone help me with a trick to unlock it? Thanks everyone

Press and hold both the TV's menu button and the remote control's menu button (starting with the TV's menu button) for about 7 seconds.

The factory menu appears.

Press the menu button again (remote control).

Then press OK to select the line: LG hotel mode setup

The hotel mode appears.

To unlock the hotel mode, choose NO on the first line.

Press menu to exit hotel mode.

Turn off the TV.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work.

I have a hesitation regarding the hotel mode; I can turn on the TV only with the power button on the remote and turn it off with the off button on the TV; there is no possibility to change the channel either with the remote or with the TV menus, and the same goes for the sound.

Could it be an issue with the TV itself???

What do you think?

Well, in that case, it's not hotel mode then.

Try resetting it by going to menu, options, factory settings, reset

Then turn it back on; it should work. If it really doesn't, I have no other solution, it means the TV is in bad shape. If it's still under warranty, send it back (it seems to me that this model is guaranteed for 3 years...)
