photoshop save an image with no background Solved

Question

Hello, when I want to save my image with a transparent background in GIF or PNG after saving it, the background always appears white instead of transparent. I wanted to create an icon from this image using IcoFX... Thank you in advance... I have Photoshop CS4.

Is the background displayed as "transparent" when saving the image in Photoshop (which is represented in Photoshop by a white and gray checkerboard)? Because if the image doesn't have any transparent areas to begin with, there won't be any transparency in the final image...

Then, if that's good, what did you test your image on? On a colored background, in an HTML page, for example, or in the Windows image preview (which has a white background, so where the transparent appears white)?

Yes, it appears transparent, but when I import it into IconeFX to create an icon, it has a white background instead of being transparent like the others...

And when you import your image into Photoshop, it often creates 2 layers: one layer with your image and a white layer which is the default background. At that moment, you need to make both transparent, because if you just do your photo, you'll see your checkerboard background (gray and white), but in the back, your default layer will always remain.
