If the card is not removed from the ATM within X seconds, it will indeed be ' swallowed'.. The same goes for the bills if they have been dispensed...
The problem is to know whether the card has been swallowed OR retrieved by someone... The best thing to do is to call the Opposition Center as soon as possible and then contact the bank of the ATM to check whether the card has been 'swallowed' or not.. If there's no card inside then change your C.-B ..

It would be wise, however, to check online if there are any movements on your account...and that would confirm that it is in the ATM!

Hello, thank you so much, it's really nice of you to respond. I would like to go on Tuesday (since the bank is closed on Monday) to see if the card has been swallowed. The person who took the bank card (if they actually took it) can't withdraw cash since the card was in an information dispenser and not in a cash dispenser (which reassures me on one side). I think the only way they could charge on the card is by making an online purchase, but even then when I buy something online, they ask me for a 4-digit code that was requested during my first online purchase. My questions are:

If the card is lost, can I withdraw all the cash from the bank by bringing my ID with me?
If yes, after withdrawing all the cash, can I file a loss report claiming I just realized I lost my card?

Because I'm going to Paris on July 3rd and I need cash!!! Thank you again for responding, it really makes me happy to see nice people who are ready to help me, thank you!!!

Declaring a lost card does not block the account... and having lost it at a bank, you have a chance of being able to retrieve it without paying; however, you won't have it by July 1st, so take cash and checks!
