Hello,

I have a computer assembled by my predecessor (you should know that in my company, it's just me) with an Acer AL 1916 screen. Since I returned from vacation, whether the unit is on or off, the power light on the screen keeps flashing green. When the screen is in standby, it is orange.
I can't even stop this flashing by turning off the screen. It doesn't respond at all, and I have to unplug it.
It makes no noise, nothing at all.
Do you think my screen is dead?

Thank you for your help
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello, I have the same problem with my X192W screen.
Do you have any tips for the repair?
    Best regards.

    No noise??
Listen carefully, I'm pretty sure it's making weak "tchik" "tchik" sounds in time with the blinking
If so, it's a sign that the power supply is down
Either you can get it repaired, or it's a screen replacement.

So, indeed, I pressed my ear against the back of the screen and it makes a slight noise in time with the flickering. I would even say, having looked at it sideways, that it makes a kind of "flash," as if it were trying to light up at the same rhythm.

    Confirmed!!
The power supply is down, a classic of the genre (I've spent my life fixing these damn switch-mode power supplies) and just 2 months ago my monitor did the same thing (not Acer) so I had to deal with it
In conclusion, it's either going to service or a friend who's an electronic expert or a new monitor!
