Hello,
I have an HP laptop and since yesterday I can't keep the "num lock" key on the numeric keypad activated without the letters on my keyboard turning into numbers when I type! Usually, the "num lock" key is always on and there are no issues... A strange keyboard writes c3ra5zy...
But now if I want to write correctly (without the letters j, k, l turning into 1, 2, 3 or u, i, o into 4, 5, 6, etc.) I absolutely have to disable the numeric keypad...! I have already looked for solutions on other forums and tried doing fn+num lock but nothing works! I can't write correctly without disabling the numeric keypad...!
Could someone help me please???Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello, I also had the same problem with my ACER notebook. I first tried the key combination Fn+Caplock (Caps Lock) without success, then FN+F4 but the screen went directly to sleep, and then Fn+F11 which worked.
Thanks to the forum and the moderators.

Thank you very much ;o) It's working!!!! I'm going to keep this discussion because it's not the first time this has happened to me, and I always forget how to fix this problem.
