Hello,

I’m looking for a movie that aired on TV about five years ago... about Anne Frank. BUT I’ve already done my little search and everything I find is the film where she stays hidden for 2 years in the annex and it ends there. The one that aired on TV (back then) told not only life in the annex but also life at the concentration camp; you see her and (the remaining) members of her family living in the camp, the labor, the gas chambers... In short, the whole story, and I can’t find that film :(

I’ve read other posts on this topic and I don’t think I’ve found my happiness...

Thanks in advance.

It’s Anne Frank: The Whole Story, but even though it aired on TF1 in 2001, there apparently isn’t a French DVD, not even with subtitles (I bought the DVD, which isn’t in French). However, I find it odd that it aired in French, and that it’s impossible to find it in that language.

I am also desperately searching for it in French, but I contacted TF1 and explained everything to them. I told them this: "Hello, I would like a piece of information about the film 'Anne Frank: The Whole Story,' an English film dating from 2001 that aired on your channel that same year. For some time now I’ve been looking for it in a French version but it’s impossible! It doesn’t exist, not even French subtitles! And it’s really a pity that a film dealing with such a painful theme as World War II, particularly about Anne Frank, exists only in the original version. Knowing you aired it a few years ago, it means you have the French dubs. Could you perhaps rebroadcast it or provide the French version so that it could possibly be released on DVD. I hope to hear from you. Best regards." and here is what they replied: "Hello, We acknowledge receipt regarding the TV movie 'Anne Frank.' Indeed, we aired this program on Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at 8:55 PM for Part 1 and at 10:30 PM for Part 2. However, to our knowledge, there is no DVD of this TV movie. We are conveying your wish to see it again on our channel and wish you pleasant moments on TF1."
