Hello,
In the GLPI documentation and during the installation of GLPI in step 2, we must leave the password empty, but I always encounter the problem and cannot start, which is
- Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

    Bonjour, puisque aucune personne ne m'a répondu et que j'ai trouvé la solution, j'aime aider les autres qui ont le même problème. La solution est de mettre tout simplement "root" comme mot de passe.

    Hello
    thank you for your help but I passed step 2 I set as MySQL server: root and password: root

    it gave me:
    Testing the database connection
    Cannot connect to the database:
    The server responded: Unknown MySQL server host 'root' (11001)

    The server field and/or the user field is empty

    il faut se référer à php admin et désactiver le mot de passe

    Il faut aller à phpMyAdmin et désactiver le mot de passe ou le changer.
