Why am I no longer receiving SMS/texts from just one contact? Solved/Closed

Hello,  I have a Samsung E250 and I'm not receiving SMS from a certain person anymore. I'll explain :)  I was texting one of my contacts for about 2 weeks and then, nothing! After a few days, I realized that this contact was receiving my texts but I wasn't getting theirs! If someone can help me, I would appreciate it. And just so you know, I'm with Virgin Mobile. To respond to HELP-ME =) , I also have the Samsung Player City ^^ And I just had the same problem that I just solved right now ^^  You just need to go to: "Messages" click on the 3 dots at the bottom "Settings" "General settings" "Block messages" And delete the contact that is present in this spam box ^^   There you go and thanks sandy, you put me on the right track ;)  P.S./ If you want to see the messages that this dear person sent you, go to: "Messages" click on the 3 dots at the bottom Go to "Spam box" TADAM all the messages will be there ^^ :D   There you go!

Hello,   you need to go to your messages and then to your message settings!! Go to SMS and then you'll see "block number" and you can delete the blocked numbers. That's how I managed to solve this problem!  See you later!!!!

Don't hesitate to scroll through the blocked contacts; it may be far down the list, even if it seems empty.

Hello, I'm new to this site and I wanted to respond to everyone.  For those who own Xperia, I have an Xperia SP, a very good smartphone, but I had  big issues with sending and receiving messages to my contacts.  For those who had iPhones or Apple products, I finally managed to find the solution.  No operator could tell me where it came from, neither Apple, nor Sony, nor Orange, nor Virgin.  They told me there could be a compatibility problem between  smartphones since there's a huge gap and a relentless war between Sony and Apple. So I had  the good idea to connect to the same  box as my friend. Through Wi-Fi, I tested sending a message, no problem. And my  friend sent me one back, and then, miracle, it worked. Then I disabled the Wi-Fi  to see if it worked without Wi-Fi, and we sent messages to each other again. And it  worked perfectly, so for those who have Xperia, I recommend this  solution.

Hello Rock and guigui and everyone.  There are several solutions that could help you:  you may have accidentally blocked your contact, in which case you need to unblock them,  your sms inbox is limited, in which case you need to clear it out, (keep the most important sms or clear it out gradually, it's up to you),  the battery of your phone is low,  maybe there is a problem with the networks, compatibility...  There are certainly other solutions.  That's it.  Best regards.

Does it happen to your favorite correspondent? The one you exchange the most messages with? Deleting all their messages at once on both ends. It fixed the issue for me. Probably a problem with the SMS memory size per correspondent.

Hello same problem with a Samsung Galaxy S3: she was no longer receiving SMS from a single contact, but there was no issue with the phone itself. In fact, we must have made a wrong manipulation and instructed the mobile to consider the SMS from this person as spam. To remove this spam function, you need to send a message to this person, then go to the conversation log (message button), press and hold on this contact, a dialog box opens offering 3 options (delete, view contact....., the third is not fully written, but says: "add to num.." actually: add to spam numbers. So select this item and replace it with remove from spam numbers.  We searched for a week too, so I think this will be useful to others. However, we did not find a window where all the spam numbers are listed.  Another point, the phone number can be unblocked and the SMS blocked. These are two things dealt with differently. For Galaxy S4 mini, message, then click on the weird square button at the bottom left, then settings, then at the very bottom add spam number, click on it, then delete the spammer.
